Batman: Arkham Knight Out June 2, Batmobile Edition Announced

Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight will have a June 2 release date, according to the game’s official Twitter account.

The upcoming game from the makers of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City will feature plenty of Batman, but it’s hook is the ability to drive the Batmobile, making it as much driving game as fighting game and fulfilling the dreams of motorhead/comic books fans. Early press previews show that Gotham City has been redesigned to be much friendlier to vehicles so you can tear around it in the Batmobile. The Batmobile is also loaded with gadgets and weaponry.

The Batmobile is such an important element of the game that there will be a special “Batmobile Edition,” shown below, that will feature a Batmobile statue.



The game was originally set for a Fall 2014 release but was delayed, it will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I am really looking forward to this game. I wish they could release it earlier, but they had to polish this game a bit more, so it's fair I think.

This will be my must buy game for 2015. I saw the gameplay trailer a while back with the batmobile and was really impressed. The whole Gotham world, the graphics and the power with which the batmobile drives will be fantastic to play with.

I don't like the look of the car very much but I guess it fits with the world they built so that should be good enough. It definitely goes well with this version of the bat suit, at the very least, and even though it's not my type, I can agree that it still does look pretty cool.

While there is no PC release yet, I will probably hold out for it. All of the previous Batman games have been good, but they have already been heavily discounted and even bundled. I got Arkham Origins, Arkham Asylum for less than 5 dollars each on Steam! Unless you really want the batmobile statue it is much more worthwhile to wait for a discount.

I'm excited for this game, and the limited edition version does look pretty cool. I just wish the game hadn't been delayed for so long. Other games have been delayed for far longer, though.

My schedule is pretty jammed with releases, so I can wait for this one. They might be trying to release it close to the new Batman movie to drum up some buzz.

I'm a sucker for Batman games and my brother is a Batman memorabilia nut. The games always seem to pull the best music from the various films etc. Kind of the war James Bond games use the iconic sounds.

I hope we are able to get out ps4 before this comes out so we can get it. I really like the bat mobile that is so cool looking.

Im a sucker for steelbooks especially something as nice looking as that. Not sure about the Batmobile just yet I have to get a closer look and figure ot the size/scale as well as the detail of it. Sadly though the game will have to wait in line after I buy it. My backlog is pretty large right now since destiny is taking so much of my precious time.

Is this thing still on track to being released in June? I can't wait to get my hands on it. It seems like every time I am highly anticipating a game they keep pushing the release date back by months. I certainly hope that's not the case with this one.

Oh man, I just recently started playing Arkham City. I'm so far behind on the stick. That's good for the fans and followers of the game. Should be interesting the see what other new element they are bringing to the game.
