What subtle touch of this game made you go "wow, they really thought about everything"?

Grand Theft Auto V has been out for a while, depending on which platform you play it on. In fact, it's the only game which had not one, but THREE successful launches. It's no secret that the world of Los Santos is really vast and detailed. That being said, what caught you off-guard in this game, in a way that it blew your mind?

For me, it must've been the moment when I entered a barber shop, and a robbery event was going on. It really caught me off-guard, and made me realize how alive Los Santos really is.

Oh, when you're flying the jets low to the ground, you actually have a dust trail underneath the jet when you're low enough. It's a nice touch that a lot of games leave out.

Yeah, that's nice too! I think that the helicopters spread dust around when they start up too. Rockstar really managed to create a fantastic world.

I was surprised to see robberies going on when I was doing something else too. Although not a subtle touch, I really like how they added games like Tennis into the game. It just makes it feel really realistic and fun to know that you can do so much more in this game.

I was surprised by the detail in Trevor's house. They even put a beer can and cigarette butts in his bed. Every disgusting detail of Trevor's house is rendered in painstaking detail, even the half eaten donut on the counter.

I was surprised to see how the inside of the cars all have working details in them such as moving speedometers etc. I never actually though of it until they released the newer version of their game where you could use first person view.

Similarly related I've noticed that if you get behind the military jet or the airliner when they are running their engines up the force from them throws you back.

And also remember how you could get flung around by the rotors in the helicopters? Well the same sort of effect is present on the propeller driven planes, just don't walk into them as soon as you land!

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes other people call the police on you?

I noticed it a few days ago when I was driving into a fence and aimlessly trying to knock it down. A woman said she was gonna call the police, she got on her phone and soon enough I had a 1-star wanted level.

This happened to anyone else? It was annoying but it impressed me non-the-less.

It might be common knowledge to some, but I just discovered today that if you shoot a car just forward of the rear tyre on the left side of it, it will start to leak fuel out of the back of it. And to add on to that, if your drive the car for a prolonged period of time with the fuel leaking you will eventually stop due to running out of fuel obviously This has made for great fun this evening!

I can't believe it, a game a couple of years old and I'm still discovering new things on it, ha!

Haha, they really thought about everything! The amount of content and detail in this game keeps amazing me day after day.

I admit that the resulting effect from them would be better if the ragdoll physics were a little more "free" like they were in GTA IV.

This one is also very cool. It's one of the things that really surprised me and made me feel like I was really playing a very modern game that has all the bells and whistles instead of just the same games I've been playing for years but with updated graphics.

It is pretty impressive.

Remember how in GTA III when you shot down a helicopter the spinning rotor blades, or the graphic that represented them, would crash and fall through the ground? I always wanted those blades to chop up an unsuspecting people in it's path of descent.

The one thing I loved was how you get to see the dust trails from the jets and the water kick up from the boats. I laughed myself to death when I saw stores getting robbed while I was beating the crap out of a cop. That instead stopped that robbery but he chose to mess with me.

The cops logic is pretty funny.

If a cop's in a shootout with a criminal and you shoot the criminal, the cop comes after you. If a cop's chasing someone and you knock the fugitive over to stop him, the cop comes after you.

In GTA IV a cop was chasing someone, and I gave chase as well with the cop running behind me. I gave up and stopped, the cop ran into me and tripped, and I received a 1 star wanted level for it.

I think the cop AI is steadily growing but it's never perfect, which is irritating. I remember back in GTA:VC where cops would follow you for even brushing past their cars or bumping into an officer.

Wow and I learned something new today. This was not even something that I had noticed. You made me turn on my xbox just to see if this was true.

Honestly though I do not think that there isn't anything that they have touched in this game that really just blows my mind. Rockstar has put a lot of detail into this game and for me I think that is the reason why the game has sold so well and continues to.

I mean just the slapping of the sandals as you take a stroll down the street. Playing the game you really become immersed in the world of Los Santos.

I didn't really notice a lot of the details until someone pointed them out to me too. I'm not someone who notices these things easily so when I found out I was astounded. The best part is that they blend in so well that it adds to your enjoyment without even you noticing it.

It's still the same in every GTA since. To add on to that, if you stand face to face with a cop in GTA V for a period of time you'll get a 1-star wanted level and the cop will try to detain you.

Oh, I never tried that in the game - seems like the cops have a lot of flaws. Still, I saw that the cops are more lenient in some aspects, although it seems like they chase you at random.
