Kid's racing games?

Callback \rw\load990970::getHtml is invalid (error_invalid_class).
I know there's a ton. There are Lego games, Disney (Cars and Planes), and Hot Wheels. Dream Works has "Turbo". There are Nick Jr. games and Adventure Time on their respective sites. My kids have played all the games I just mentioned, and probably a million more app games. They do enjoy racing games, but I am running out of ideas. Can you help me out?

I've got a couple of suggestions for racing games for kids on mobile platforms. There's Hill Climb Racing, a simple racing game that requires players to just press on gas or bake. The graphics are simple and cartoony.

Sonic and Sega All Stars is another game that could be enjoyed by children. It sports cute Sega characters and easy to learn tracks. The game is not free though.

And of course, there's Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U. An absolute winner of you ask me.

If you are looking for a mobile racing game, you could try Angry Birds Go, which is a kart racing game and should be a lot of fun for your kids. I know a lot of children that played this game and the found it a lot of fun.

Angry birds go is a great option for kids if you have some type of tablet or ipod that they can use. The game does get difficult over time so may not be ideal for younger children

Have you considered Mario Kart? I would recommend the one for the Wii U, Mario Kart 8. Of course, if you have a Super Nintendo or a system that can play Nintendo games, go for Mario Kart for the SN. One of the classics to say the least. If I remember correctly, I think Crash Bandicoot had racing game years back on the Playstation. So, did Disney. Keep in mind, this was for the Playstation. Not PS2, PS3 or PS4.

As far as I'm concerned, every racing game qualifies as a kid's racing game. They might not all have cute animations, but most of them are more than suitable for children. In fact, the more realistic games will help children develop their brains and pay attention to the more technical details of vehicles and physics. In theory at least.

Most kart racers fall into this category, my main recommendations would be Mario Kart (obviously) and Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed.

I kart games are the best for kids, I think, because they are very cute and they can be as silly or as serious as you want them to be. The prime example would of course be Mario. Kart, but there are others like Sonic, and even ones for mobile like Angry Birds Go.

If you could find it, I'd recommend Rally X. I think it's the New Rally X that was the best on. It's an old Playstation game, or at least made for the Playstation, that is simplistic in it's task. Avoid the red cards, while pick up the yellow flags. It's a pretty fun, but old game, that I think should give it a go. Oh, and look out for the rocks. :)

There is one game I have in mind which I have posted about here before, but I'm not sure what platforms it's available on. I know it's available for Android though. It's actually very similar to Mario Kart but is more up to date and is called Tiki Kart. I had plenty of fun playing it, so I'm sure your children will love it.

You could always get them a Mario Kart game. Sure they'll hate the color blue for a while. But the hours of silence you get while they participate in epic grudge matches will be wonderful. It may not actually be silence. They'll probably end up in an intense kitchen brawl with the loser being forced to never play again or leave the house and live as a vagabond. On second thought, don't get Mario Kart. It destroys families. Especially those blue shells.

As others have said, Mario Kart is a great game for kids to start on. Everyone loves Mario and Yoshi and their animations/graphics. The carts are fairly cartoonish and would meet the expectations of the average 2nd grader looking for fun and trying to get involved in the huge racing game industry.

Very true. I think the cutesy style lends itself well to appealing to kids which is probably why Nintendo does so well with their games. The best part about it is that even adults can enjoy them as well because they were once kids who played Nintendo games too.

Either Mario Kart, but that one has already been mentioned a few times throughout this post, or Sonic and SEGA's All-Stars Racing (eventually get the better version, Transformed). It's a really fun game, and you can find it on PC too.

I've heard from some members here on this forum that the new sonic kart racing game is great too so I really am curious about it. I'm sure the kids will love it especially since they already like Mario kart.

I'll go ahead and throw a recommendation out there for Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing! :]

Try Mario Kart. It doesn't seem like a very violent game, but instead feels like a more calm atmosphere. It's not like aggressive and violent racing games out there. Even without the violence, the game is quite enjoyable.

I would like to recommend you Hill Climb Racing, Track Builder (Hot Wheels) and also Street Hawk game,
you're kids should check them out, maybe they will like these games that I have mentioned out.

Kids really like games like Mario Kart since they are very newbie-friendly and also made for kids. Angry Birds Go is a good alternative for mobile.
