Would you be content with GTA V being the last GTA game made, but updated constantly?

I know this won't happen in a million years but I thought I'd ask you people. What do you think?

Nope. I really don't like that because I want new characters and a new place to explore. Sure, I want to GTA V to be update for the next years but as I said earlier I want new things to learn and to explore.

While I would love it, this would never happen. Rockstar knows that what they have here is a license to print cash, and this was shown by GTA V's three(!) successful releases. They would be mad if they never made a sequel.

"license to print cash" is a saying that I haven't heard before, but it's accurate here. Although they could make updates only purchasable with real money, that still won't match the hype a new GTA game would get.

The updates you mentioned will probably see the light of day as a single-player expansion pack, much like Episodes from Liberty City was for GTA IV. I'm guessing we'll see an announcement at e3 2016.

I wouldnt like that because I always like having a new story to experience. I also like having new locations to explore, and I would like to revisit Liberty City in the future as well.

Yeah, those might be only for single-player but that still wouldn't be that bad. I think that Rockstar are probably going to show us a demo of GTA VI when the time for E3 2016 comes around.

GTA V has been keeping Take Two's profit margin in the black since its release, and that's a testament to just how big and incredible the game is. It could remain popular for another two or three years with a healthy user base, and that's something few games can accomplish.

I could live with GTA V being the last Grand Theft Auto made, because right now Rockstar is on a high note. Can you imagine if the next game is bad? It'll ruin their legacy. They have to surpass GTA V to maintain the streak of each game getting better. That's going to be so hard to do.

Well, I mean, if they will add new content to the single player game, then you can expect that content to be ported to the multiplayer as well. It's just how Rockstar operates. I think that e3 2016 is too early for gta vi, maybe a teaser in 2017 would be more like it.

Yeah, but they could still tease us at E3 2016 to hype up the game a little bit like they did with the GTA V. Still, if they do it too early they may make people uninterested since they would wait too long.

I think it would be fine but I'm sure I will start looking for a new storyline and character after a while. I've always been amazed at how good these guys were at building a universe, and I can't wait to see what they come up with for the next one.

Nah, people won't lose interest. It took them a loooong time to release GTA V since they announced it, and the game sold successfully... 3 times! An expansion for this game would be really successful.

Hah, you may be right here. I re-watched the trailer now and I noticed how the graphics were semi-outdated, which is a pretty good thing in the long run. They exceeded people's expectations, they might've just shown the first trailer that early because they knew the next gen is going to mean a lot for graphics and performance.

I definitely would not be happy with V being the last one made. It's true that it's huge and the multiplayer is always fun to play with friends, but I miss the old cities and the old characters. I would to see a new Vice City, complete with reference to Tony and what happened to him. GTA V is good but I would be a little sad to hear that it's the last one to be made.

This would work if GTA was purely a PC game. Having constant updates done for a console varieties has its limitations. With PC you can pretty much do anything and upgrading isn't that big of a deal if you have the means.

I'd like to see other characters come back too or at least get new characters to play. I'm sure they will release one again soon in a few years and I can't wait.

Nope, will be bored with the story line and for new players, it's going to become really hard to catch up and I won't be able to see any significant character improvement.
