I feel like they should. I loved the customization and the soundtrack and I think I would love a whole new game.

I don't think it's necessary to recreate underground but implementing some of the features from it or even carbon would be great. The customization in those games is what drew me to them in the beginning. Eventually I grew to love the racing the aspect but the customization is where my attention was.

I do not think that they should make another game named underground but what they should do is do some of things that was in at game and make a new need for speed with a twist. I think that it would be a really good game.

Every single time they release an NFS game I wish they would go back to the Underground formula. That's pretty much the only NFS game I finished 100%.

Yes, yes, and yes. Underground was amazing and I enjoyed playing it. The customization prevented the game from getting stale, and it was some of the most fun I've had playing racing games.

Yes. I think if they went back to this game's mechanics then a lot of their fans would appreciate it. I know I would, provided they do it right. I'd honestly be up for it just getting a HD widescreen update and I'd still replay it.

I might certainly be affected by childhood nostalgia, but NFS Underground and Underground 2 were my favorite games in the series.

Underground had the perfect balance of difficulty and arcade fun, adding many new innovations like drag racing, drifting and of course, nitrous oxide! It was a big leap from its predecessors, which back then largely only featured simple racing. The fact that you could customise the look and performance of cars was an added bonus.

In my opinion the formula was almost perfect. Underground 2 did add open world exploration, and several new customisation features and race modes, but Undergound was the most amazing one for me. It would certainly be hard for NFS to create a better game in the series, but I would definitely pick it up if they did.

I absolutely loved the Underground games in the series and that is also exactly the reason why I don't believe releasing a new game is a very smart move. I think we would all hype up the game too much because of all the nostalgia and it will probably leave to us all being dissapointed, even though the game will probably turn out to be a good one.

There's too much risk in releasing a new game in the Underground series and it could potentially hurt the developers' image quite a lot.

Definitely, at the very least they should bring the customization back to the next NFS game. NFS hasn't had a decent street racing game with deep customization since the ps2. The whole police vs racer dynamic is getting a little boring, it's all the games focus on now, and to be honest it wouldn't be so bad if they would just bring back good customization in both performance and the looks of the cars.

Agreed. PS2 era really was the best and many sequels to the games there really did seem to me like kind of a step back in on one ways, even though still obviously pretty good.

Yeah, they totally should make another Underground. All my friends grew up with this game, if I ask someone which is their favourite NFS I get the response that "underground", we are practically, the "nfs underground generation". And I believe that the target of the game is people between 13 and 20 years, this would fit exactly our profile. They could adapt an old and epic thing to today's requirements and I'm sure they'd get a lot of money out of this since everyone used to be a fan of "NFS: Underground" in the past.

Absolutely not. The main reason people liked the Underground series was because they were 10 to 15 years-old and liked shiny cars with lights on them. It's as simple as that. Otherwise, Underground 1 and 2 were as solid as every other Need for Speed game. People should have grown out of the loving rice burner phase of cars after watching Fast and Furious 1-3. Heck, that franchise grew out of that phase with 4, 5, and 6!

No new Underground titles, please.

I wouldn't say it's because of the shiny cars and cetera but more because of the huge variety in races which was quite new at the time. The whole shiny cars thing definitely added to that but most of its charm was the gameplay for me

If they would make a game like this all over again, I'm sure they will sell a lot of copies. The name of the game is so widespread amongs gamers and it's reputation is also very high, so that would make the game very popular. I know that I would definetely buy it if they release it.

I would instantly get that game on my computer and play it hardcore like i did it before. I think there is still a lot of potential of making a new and enough interesting game for old users. But the only thing that they should not touch is graphics because they are truly amazing.

Oh my, Underground, specifically the second, is in my opinion the best game in the series. I haven't played it any time recently, but as far as I remember, it was a game that blew my mind with all the possible modding and such.

i was a huge fan of the first two. i liked the open world gameplay and customization that made you feel like you were in control of the game you were playing. i would not be opposed to them making a new one at all.

Yes they should whether they name it underground or not dosent matter. But they need to bring back tons of customization and freedom when it comes to vehicle management. Its the reason Need For Speed didnt die off because of that resurgence of energy that the original underground bought to the franchise. And with the past Need For Speed games they are starting to feel very copy and past and are starting to get boring. I got the platinum trophy for Rivals on my ps4 in a few days no real challenge and not much to do. Its a shame.
