PS4 for my son, set-up / misc tips?

I picked up a PS4 slim for rainman jr. who's 9. I bought it so we can game together when he's at his mom's. Needless to say it will be primary located with the ex. I plan on opening it up just to do updates so it's ready to use once he receives it. It got me thinking about the whole primary user settings and game sharing etc. It's likely that i'll never see it again after I hand it to him so i'd like it setup properly beforehand. I recall one of my clan mates mentioning ways to share games between 2 linked systems....?

Anyways, anyone care to mention any set-up tips or experiences with setting up a console for someone else...

My brother is trying to get a PS4 as well. It seems that his Christmas wish list attempts have failed him this year, as my parents did not, in fact, buy him a PS4 that he had been so eagerly expecting. He did not behave well at all in this last year, and that is perhaps why. Yet that is another story....
