The Milestone team has been creating racing games for years with MotoGP titles, Ride games, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Monster Energy Supercross. With a broad array of racing experiences in arcades and simulators, Milestone is developing some of the most popular racing games in the world.
It is expected to debut a new series, one in which we will play with a different kind of vehicle than we are used to. Although it will rely on the experience gained while developing Hot Wheels games
My focus is Monster Jam Showdown, the off-road arcade racer launching on PC and consoles at the end of August. During my trip to the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles, players had a chance at the game for the first time.
With Monster Jam Showdown, you'll get access to tons of branded Monster Jam trucks to drive. Some of the monster trucks you can drive include Earthshaker, El Toro Loco, Grave Digger, Sparkle Smash, Yeti, Zombie, Pirate's Curse, and Megalodon.
Upon colliding with the environment or another racer, you'll notice each of the trucks is brilliantly detailed, something that becomes even clearer after you get into a race and see them ripped apart until only the metal frames remain.
