Is GTA V up to your standards?

I can honestly say yes, it is up to my standars. Rockstar really impressed me with this game and I never believed that GTA V would be so epic.
I play it everyday and the time passes so fast. I have a lot of fun with it!

Definitely. If you compare it to the previous versions, it's definitely improved significantly in terms of game play and graphics. I feel like GTA V had a huge jump from San Andreas. Such a huge improvement. But then again, it did take a while to release so you'd probably expect more.

I think GTAV has to go down at the moment as one of the best games ever released, so that's pretty impressive! If I'm honest I wasn't a huge fan of the last one, I enjoyed it but found it a bit hard to really get involved with so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one.

So I think it's safe to say I'm very impressed with what they've done this time.

GTA V has quickly become one of the most polished and expansive games ever created. It's easily the most important game ever created for PS3/Xbox 360 (originally) due to how much has been accomplished. It doesn't have the best story ever, but the game is an overall masterpiece in nearly every way.

I think with a title such as GTA, the actual story now has become a side issue. It's now mainly about what people are able to do outside of the actual missions.

With games such as this, the online aspect is probably more important than the actual game itself.

Hmm, I think it kind of is. I think it is because of the graphics and the games mechanism, it's just unique and new. I don't know in terms of missions and game-play as I wouldn't really go there, but I love the fact that cars, planes and simulation related stuff are just more realistic than before, I really enjoy that. What makes it unique is that it merges different games into a massive big one, but they make it more based in stealing and everything. I think I would of appreciated that game if it was more like real life, choosing who to be, the normal life person or a thug, lol. I would choose the normal one, as I don't like the thug part of the game.

Yes. Yes, and yes. I was very skeptic on GTA 5, since I really didn't like GTA 4 and I didn't care too much for GTA:SA, but GTA 5 absolutely delivered on all levels. It's insanely fun, the story is really nice, the characters do actually feel like characters and not throwaway player placeholders, and the map is stunning. This is the first game where I just took a car and went exploring. The countryside is amazing!

I think it's up to my standards for the most part. I do have a few complaints, mainly about the lack of things to do once you're done with all the missions. In older GTA games just causing chaos was very fun, now I don't feel that enjoyment in single player and have to jump online to cause mayhem. It's not a huge complaint, but it's there.

It met all my expectations, and in the online mode, surpassed them. Greatly. I didn't think that I'd still be playing this game, after all this time, but I just can't get enough. Plus, being able to wreck the city with my friends or just wreck other people's faces ... It hasn't gotten old to me, yet.

It was better than I expected. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it. I am taking a break right now and playing COD for the most part. But it's still one of the best games I've played.

If this game wasn't up to your standards then your standards are way too high. This game impressed me on all boards. I also liked how it gave a few elements such as in the ending where you literally get to choose how to end the game.

Yeah, it is. Having 3 main characters and to have different endings just like the last GTA, this game is good. And with the graphics and all.

Does anyone realize how conceited the title of this thread sounds? Up to our standards?
Who are we to look down on a record breaking game and judge whether it's good enough?
Have any of you guys made a major game for a big company? Do you know how many hours and teams of people it takes? It's a lot easier to criticize a game in a forum than it is to make a game.

I respect Rockstar and I'm seriously impressed by their masterpiece whether you think it's good enough to meet you lofty standards. When I read the title of this thread, I can almost picture OP sitting on a throne saying "Hmm ,if this game is up to my royal standards, maybe I'll condescend to play it." I don't think Rockstar is losing sleep over your standards.

It indeed is! Pretty much everything GTA IV lacked, GTA V has fixed. Thanks to Rockstar Games for delivering this great game!

Maybe Rockstar made us wait a long while for the PC version, so what? It's the "Definitive Edition" of the game and it's true! It looks great, runs on older hardware, very optimized for such a big game, if all, it surpassed my standards!

Yes! it's up on my standards. I really love this game and I can't say any negative things about it. I really love the graphics and how the game play goes on.

Beyond my standards. The scope of the game is astonishing but what really won me over was the mt chiliad mystery. Lately I've been sort of roleplaying walking around the streets catching the little sights, details, and how this is very much a living world. Incredible game!

It actually surpassed my standards when it came out. I expected less, but got a lot more. I love this game.

I expected a lot less after IV, but V surpassed my expectations in the single player part. I don't really care about online though, I think it is a failure without a proper anti-cheat system on PC.

Honestly speaking, it exceeded my standards. I wasn't expecting this game to be that good and polished on launch. And they released GTA Online for free on to of that, which could have been charged.
