I remember that when Rockstar was still developing Grand Theft Auto Online, they mentioned that it would be a continuing project that they would just add to. No one really understood what this means, t to be honest. It could have just meant that they would continue to add new content to the game. But other people thought that it meant Grand Theft Auto Online would continue on in the following GTA titles and they would just continue to expand it. Do you think this is a possibility?

I just don't see it happening in the near future, as of right now Rockstar is more involved in creating the next big thing.

Well until I know what the next big thing is, I think I may as well prefer them make some expansions. That may just be my cynacism towards new things coming out again, though.

I agree with you, it would be better for now but you can never know with Rockstar.

I think they will continue to develop it until 2020-2021 when GTA VI will be around the corner and then they'll probably scrap the project to build a new one for the new game.

What you said on both accounts was correct, GTA Online is a persistent, open world online multiplayer game, so it has no end and will be updated from time to time.
