Historically, Criterion Games is known for its racing games, including the cult Burnout series. However, Guildford took on the First Person Shooter genre in 2006 with a game that pushed the limits of PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.
This is a shooter showcasing firefights on a pedestal, which allowed the developers to keep us engaged for the duration of the game. It consisted of eight missions, which took us to war-devastated cities as well as to a forest-based enemy base.
Although each stage had a goal, this was only a formality, and the entire game was about eliminating enemies. Players used assault rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, and sniper rifles to take out the enemies.
In addition, regardless of what murder weapon we chose, we ended up in a shootout, so trying to find stealth features wasn't worth the effort here.
