I really liked some of developers earlier games like Need for Speed Shift, but I skipped the first project CARS as my PC was not up to the task. Is the sequel any good ? Especially interested to know how the cars handle.

The cars handle relatively well but i felt it needed work.

Huh. Shift 2 had the same problem at release, especially with a controller IIRC. They did fix it later with the updates, so I'm hoping that will be the case here as well. Still you have to wonder why can't these people release a non broken version of the game out of the gate - steering is very important in a racing game FFS.

I think the issue can be resolved with an update.

Unless the game is somehow fundamentally broken, it can be patched but the game shouldn't have released like that in the first place. I might actually just wait and buy it when it's very cheap, see if it's as bad as (many of the) reviews imply.

The sequel is actually great. I love the Need for Speed games as well. Sucks that they're not going to be releasing a new one for a while but still, I hope they do!

I liked NFS back when Black Box was making them ( Most Wanted, Carbon ), and NFS Shift 1+2 spinoffs which are imo the only decent driving sims in the series. I think the last few games have been pretty bad. .

Yeah, I actually think the last few games were the best, to be honest. But I guess we all have different opinions ;)

Well you have a right to your opinion, but you're probably in the minority there. Many fans seem to hate these last few games, but then again I'm not sure if that's due to quality or anti microtransaction/loot box/always online gamer rebellion.

Not really. A lot of people actually like the new games, so I'm not in minority. I actually think they have a lot more features, thus, making them a lot more fun!

I've played almost every racing game there is and just like any other game, this one does get my adrenaline high especially when I don't want to lose. I appreciate all the developers of the games I have played because, at least they tried to create a good game and gave it their best shot.
