There is always room for competition in anything. Some people will try a new game out of curiousity...but if it doesn't deliver something to keep the interest going, it will fail. Gran Turismo has set the bar so to speak and we will see what drive club can develope into.
I had fogotten about "Heaven Can Wait"...Warren Beattie and Julie Christie were great in it...along with Dyan Canon, who was so quirky and funny. I knew it was a remake but I never saw the original. I really enjoyed it in any event.
I think what you are seeing is typical in marketing....make a big splash. They would have no incentive to torpedo another one of their own products. As you can tell from the threads here there is a great deal of competition as well as expectation from the users. Keeping several "oars in the...
I love the old cars, the restorations and the characters...the upholstery lady is a trip and always call Richard names. Can't stop watching it. What about you?
I never played it after hearing the premise when it first came out. Guess from the responses here it went through some permutations. Just didn't sound like my cup of tea.
I remember the old pinball games and the balloon bursting ones that continued to get faster as the layers progressed. I kept trying to beat my "best" and realized I had lost an entire night when I saw the sun rising.
Gran Turismo 5 is significantly better on the real life conditions. I did not have any technical problems, so I think it is the best. I only see it continuing to improve for even more realistic experiences.

I usually get around 6 hours or so. Would love to get eight hours but I have worked a tough schedule for years and I think I would wake up around 6 anyway.
When I first heard the storyline, I thought this would be a bust. I still have not watched it, but after reading this whole thread and everything I have heard on line, seems I have to see what everyone is talking about.
Well you can always hope you will get a surprise and see some innovation on this one. After reading the rest of the comments, the general consensus is everyone expects the same old thing...Good news about forums like these is hopefully the manufacturers or their advertising people do look at...
Actually the "Raid" text looked like the spray, but the rest looked like an upgraded graphic ...so who knew what new and obscure games come up. I am not sure what the connection is either, but it did get us all to talk.
A friend with an Android and I got stuck in a long wait. The drag racing was passable...barely. The parking games would probably appeal to preschoolers..well not really. quite lame...
